Rob Miller - Text Processing with Ruby

less than 1 minute read

Following up on my Ruby refresh, I finally read this book that I had since a long time. I have, in fact, several others similar to this one in the queue.

It is nice to know all the different ways that Ruby can cope with text to do different things. I especially like the one-liners on the command line, the parser, and ERB. I did not go deeper into practice with all the stuff in the book because I feel that whenever I needed I’ll come back and work it out. So I think is more a reference book, to rapidly find helpful solutions to a problem.

In general, it was an excellent and easy read.
